Back in 1994, when we started, as the WWW started, everything was in English. We were ready but the Hispanic market was not ready, we started doing some program/script translations as we understand that Spanish native speakers were looking for Spanish websites. People doesn’t like to be on a website who has English and Spanish words all over the website. English people likes to have English websites as Spanish people likes to have their own Spanish websites.
People feel more comfortable and secure when they’re seeing and reading the information they want and need on their own language. Also, as a complementary strategy, building a website in Spanish with the proper wording will give you good search engine rankings.
